  • Sol Plus for People – Your Questions Answered

by Fiona Lane December 07, 2023

Sol Plus People is a groundbreaking natural remedy for people wanting an additional layer of defense in their sun care regime.

Sol Plus for People is an exciting, 100% natural remedy for people wanting an additional layer of support in their sun care regime. It’s formulated to support those who are very fair skinned or who sunburn easily, or those who spend a lot of time outdoors at work or play. Sol Plus People is not an SPF rated product so must always be used alongside your usual SPF rated sunscreen and other sun safe practices.

What exactly is Sol Plus for People?

Sol Plus for People is a groundbreaking natural option for people who need an additional layer of support in their sun care regime. It’s not a replacement for other sun management products such as an SPF rated sunscreen, wearing a hat, or covering up. Instead, it offers another layer of support when used as part of a sun care regime.

But how can an oral remedy help?

Sol Plus for People is an innovative homeopathic formulation that uses nature to help manage the effects of suns rays. People who are prescribed certain oral medications such as tetracycline and acne drugs are often told to avoid the sun as these drugs can increase the risk of sunburn. Our Sol Plus for People remedy uses this same mechanism, but in reverse.

Is Sol Plus for People SPF rated?

No. Sol Plus for People isn’t an SPF rated product so must always be used alongside your usual SPF rated sunscreen and other sun safe practices. It also doesn’t prevent heat stroke or burning of feet on hot pavements.

    What is it made from?

We formulate this remedy using equal parts of Belladonna, China officianalis, Hypericum, Mezereum, Rhus toxidendron and Sol suspended in a base of either vegetable glycerine and purified water or alcohol and purified water. You can choose which option you’d prefer when you purchase.

Who should use Sol Plus for People?

Anyone who feels they need an additional layer of support when outdoors could benefit from adding Sol Plus for People to their suncare regime. Sports people and equestrians, hikers or those that work outdoors could use this remedy daily, but it can also be used for one-off occasions such as a day out at the beach. It’s important to note that this remedy doesn’t have a cumulative effect, so fresh doses are needed each time you expect to be out in the sun.

How do you use Sol Plus for People?

Sol Plus for People is an oral remedy so can be pumped directly onto the tongue – the ingredients are activated when they come into contact with a mucous membrane such as the tongue, gum or lips. We recommend taking a dose directly onto the tongue at least 30 minutes before you expect to be exposed to the sun, then continue dosing every 1-2 hours while sun exposure continues. Dosing can stop once you are no longer going to be in the sun.

Add it to your water bottle

Adding Sol Plus for People to a water bottle is a recommended way of managing top up doses. The active ingredients disperse through the water in your bottle, so you’ll get a top up dose every time you take a drink.

Does Sol Plus for People have a cumulative effect?

No, the effects of using Sol Plus for People don't build up over time. You will need to take fresh doses of this remedy, along with applying your other sun safe practices, each time you anticipate being out in the sun.

Is Sol Plus for People on its own enough to stop sunburn?

No. Sol Plus for People is not SPF rated and must always be used alongside your usual SPF rated sunscreen and other sun safe practices.

What if I take more Sol Plus for People than the recommended dosage?

As a homeopathic remedy, taking more Sol Plus for People than recommended won’t have any harmful side effects. However, it also won’t make the product more effective either!

Can I give Sol Plus for People to children?

Absolutely. Children aged 0-10 only need one pump of remedy per dose, while for children aged 11 upwards, a dose consists of two pumps.

What if I’m pregnant, on medication or have food allergies?

Good news! Sol Plus for People is gluten and dairy free, non-addictive, safe for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding and can be used alongside prescription medicines.

Can I put Sol Plus for People on my skin?

It won’t cause any adverse effects, but the ingredients will only activate when they come into contact with a mucous membrane such as the tongue, gums or lips. This product is not SPF rated or a sunscreen, so isn't formulated be used topically.

How long will a bottle of Sol Plus for People last?

That depends on how often you use it and whether you are dosing adults, children, or both. Our 50ml bottle contains 130 adult doses while our 90ml bottle contains 230 adult doses. The remedy has a two year shelf life.

    How much does it cost?

Prices will vary depending on the currency you use, so the best idea is to head to our website and select your preferred currency and size to get an accurate cost.

Sol Plus for People is a great addition to your sun safe regime. While not a substitute for SPF rated sunscreens or sun safe practices, it can offer an extra layer of support for people of all ages who enjoy an outdoor lifestyle in the summer, or all year round.
