    Pump Bottles

A dose consists of 2-3 sprays of the remedy on to a mucous membrane such as the vulva, nose or tongue.    For dairy cows, we recommend 2 doses (2-3 sprays per dose) directly onto the vulva, the first when putting the cups on and again when taking the cups off.    Jerry Cans for Dosing the herd
A dose is given by pouring 1 capful (25ml) of remedy into the water trough, every second day. We do offer a pump attachment that dispenses 25ml and can be used instead of the cap. Our 5 litre jerry cans come with a free dispensing pump.    For other livestock you can administer a dose (2 sprays) to the nose, on their food or in their water trough. To dose on food, use half a capful per dose, 1-2 times a day.   * Ticks Plus takes a week to build up effect.   This remedy can be continued long term.
Doses per container  90ml bottle = 500+ doses (2-3 sprays per dose)

1 litre = 40 doses which provides 80 days of trough treatment (Dosing every second day). This is based on water troughs up to 500 litre capacity.

    Absolutely Amazing

I have 3 Jersey cows that I rescued when they were 1 day old and are now 3 and I adore them, they are my babies, so having to pull ticks off is just not on. Recently they were absolutely covered in ticks, like never before, it was really bad. I reluctantly used chemicals, which I have, but I was desperate, but they were still getting the ticks.

I decided to try Ticks Plus and I give a capful every second day to each of them in their molasses they get at dinner time and wow, it worked from the very first dose. They have not had one tick at all, none, zilch.

The relief for them and me, is well worth every cent.

Knowing there isn't any poisons going on them and so easy to just tip a capful in and I know they each get their dose and they are well and truly protected. A game changer, an absolute must have.

There are hundreds of types of ticks globally affecting cattle and livestock in each region, including the cattle tick (Rhipicephalus microplus), the lone star tick (Amblyomma americanum), and the blacklegged tick (Ixodes scapularis). In New Zealand the most common cattle tick is Haemaphysalis longicornis. In Australia, cattle is most often affected by the Cattle Tick, Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) australis, the Paralysis Tick, Ixodes holocyclus and the New Zealand Cattle Tick, Haemaphysalis longicornis.

But don’t worry, our remedy works for all types of ticks worldwide.

Ticks can transmit several diseases to livestock and affect the herd, especially the more vulnerable, such as calves and pregnant or calving cows. Tick transmitted diseases such as Theileriosis, anaplasmosis, babesiosis, and Lyme can lead to significant health issues and affect livestock productivity and financial losses for farmers. A particularly concerning disease is Theileriosis, a cattle disease spread by ticks, causing anaemia and sometimes death. Farmers using our Ticks Plus in the trough have seen big benefits in herds previously suffering losses through Theilerosis. Our tick repellent is very economical and easily dosed via the water trough, helping reduce financial losses and support the health and happiness of farm animals.

Yes, heavy tick infestations can lead to decreased productivity due to the stress and illness they cause in livestock, resulting in lower weight gains, milk yield, and overall health deterioration. You can find some tips on how to identify and manage ticks on cows and livestock in our blog.

Our Natural tick repellent is suitable for all livestock, including meat and dairy cows, deer, pigs, sheep, lambs, goats, alpacas and more. There is no withholding period as it is classified as a homeopathic preparation, and it doesn’t affect livestock productivity. Our Ticks Plus - Livestock remedy is suitable for animals of all ages, from birth to seniors.

Ticks Plus - Livestock is 100% natural so doesn’t contain any harsh chemicals. Instead, this groundbreaking remedy simply changes the natural body odour of a cow, sheep, pig, goat or other farm animal just enough that a hungry tick can no longer detect dosed livestock as a source of food. The change in body odour is so subtle it’s undetectable to humans and other animals – even those in the same herd. It can take a week for this remedy to take effect, then dosing can continue through the summer months while biting bugs are an issue.

You can find more information about repelling ticks on cows in our blog article.

Trough dosing with Ticks Plus – Livestock can cost as little a $0.01 per day when using our 5-Litre Jerry Can to dose 100 cows sharing a 500-Litre water trough.

Ticks should be removed from cattle or livestock using tweezers or a tick removal tool, grasping the tick close to the skin, and pulling it straight out without twisting. It's important to avoid leaving parts of the tick embedded in the skin. Alternatively, using our Ticks Plus – Livestock remedy will make the blood of the host unpalatable for the tick and it will let go within a week of dosing.

Adding 25mls (1oz) of remedy from our Jerry Can to a 500L (100-gallon) water trough every second day is enough to dose all of the animals that drink from that trough. With homeopathic remedies, the dilution ratio doesn’t have to be exact. The active ingredients disperse through the trough using the hydrogen particles in the water, so each animal gets a fresh dose every time they take a drink. Regardless of how much – or little – water is in the trough, the potency of the remedy will be the same. Adding our remedies to a water trough means a new dose is administered every time an animal takes a drink. The trough doesn't need to be emptied and refilled between doses as the sunlight destroys any residues after three days.
