    DOSING

    When to Dose

    What is Sweet Itch? Horses being being bitten by the Culicoides Midge (also known as Queensland Itch or Summer Itch) are often itchy in the mane, tail or rump area. They may rub these areas constantly, leading to raw and broken skin which can result in more severe infection, so it’s important to treat any itchy skin quickly.

    You can expect to see the remedy working within the first week, usually after day 3. Further improvement continues over the coming weeks as the formulation supports the normal functioning of the immune system.
    Dose until symptoms are gone, then reduce dosing to once a week to maintain.

    Works for dogs too. Just add about half a teaspoon to their water bowl. 

    How to Dose

    Dose via the water trough or by adding to feed. You should see a change within 3-7 days, with further improvements as the weeks progress and the normal immune response builds.

    Jerry Can Dosing

    Water trough - add 25mls - one capful or 1 Jerry Can pump - of remedy into the water trough every second day. Dose volume is calculated for a 500-litre water trough and can provide coverage for multiple animals.

    Feed – add 12mls - ½ capful (12ml) or ½ pump - on to feed twice daily.

    1 litre = 80 days continuous cover via water troughs (dosing every second day) or 40 days dosing on feed (twice daily). *Maintenance dosing is once a week so product will last a lot longer.

    Dose until symptoms ease, then reduce dosing to once a week for maintenance.

    Our robust jerry cans are made from food grade plastic.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    Remedies are dispensed in food grade plastic jerry cans, sized 1 litre, 2 litre, 5 litres.

    The 5 litre jerry cans come with a free dispensing pump. The pump can also be bought separately for the smaller jerry cans.

    Sweet Itch

    Not sure if just this product alone but since using in water and other gut health product in feed , allergy symptoms disappeared in a week or so. Will continue with this product alone dye to ease of use and monitor.

    Sweet Itch Plus

    I have only just finished the first one litre bottle, I did catch my pony rubbing his neck on a couple of occasions. I do believe this solution has mad a difference and hopefully as winter is here I can just focus on a possible allergy issue. I would certainly recommend the Sweet itch plus it definitely reduced my pony rubbing his mane.

    Sorry to hear that this hasn't helped. Can you please let us know how you have been dosing, amount, method and frequency. If the remedy has been stored somewhere cool and out of direct light and if you have been using any essential oils like citronella, neem, tea tree etc.. or Zinc. I will see what we can do to help 😊🦛

    This remedy won’t cause any adverse effects, but the ingredients will only activate when they come into contact with a mucous membrane such as the tongue, gums or lips.

    Adding 25mls (1oz) of remedy from our Jerry Can to a 500L (100-gallon) water trough every second day is enough to dose all of the animals that drink from that trough. With homeopathic remedies, the dilution ratio doesn’t have to be exact. The active ingredients disperse through the trough using the hydrogen particles in the water, so each animal gets a fresh dose every time they take a drink. Regardless of how much – or little – water is in the trough, the potency of the remedy will be the same. Adding our remedies to a water trough means a new dose is administered every time an animal takes a drink.
