    Constipation - Pets can be due to a number of factors and can be troublesome for our pets. Hippo’s natural remedy is used in situations where there is not enough moisture in the colon and/or where the natural peristaltic action is insufficient to move things along. We recommend veterinary supervision for pets who are suffering from constipation.

    DOSING

    A dose consists of 2 pumps of remedy onto the tongue, gums or lips. Can also be given on a piece of food. Most pets love the sweet taste but if your pet is nervous about being dosed, you can put the dose on your finger and dab it on their lips or gums. They do not need to swallow the dose, it just has to come into contact with their tongue or gums.

    Dose: 2 pumps in the mouth or on food, twice daily for a week. Repeat as needed. 

    This product is safe for long term use.

    90ml bottle = 230 doses

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    Great product

    I brought this for my jack russell who suffers with constipation. I put it on his food and since using it he doesn't strain anymore, he can now go with ease and comfort. So this product is really good and you only need a tiny little bit so the bottle will last for ages. Service is great and very quick.

    It appears to be working

    My cat is pooing regularly. She did not like it directly in her mouth. I am adding it to her food. I hope this does not diminish the effectiveness of the formulation.

    18 YEAR OLD CAT WITH CONSTIPATION

    I have an 18 year old Australian Mist fur baby who has had constipation problems for the past 3 years - I bought the Hippo Constipation to try and assist him.... I was giving him 1 coloxyl every other day & flaxseed oil alternate days - after a few months on this remedy we have managed to go to 1 coloxyl every 3 - 4 days and he poos more easily not straining as much and crying (I hate hearing him cry) . So it has assisted him in helping him to poo with greater ease and less pain.

    Absolutely, this remedy is great for small pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, pet mice and rats. Simply adjust the dosing to 1 pump per dose either on a treat, or into the water dish (1 pump per 200ml of water).
