    DOSING

    When to dose

    Start dosing as soon as lice make an appearance. Allow a week for this remedy to start taking effect. All animals that drink from a trough with Lice Plus in it will receive the benefits, thus providing a safe, natural solution for the herd. 

    Safe to use with other Hippo Health products.

    Dosing

    Water trough - add 25ml - one capful or 1 Jerry Can pump - of remedy into the water trough every second day. Dose volume is calculated for a 500-litre water trough and can provide coverage for multiple animals.

    Jerry Cans for Dosing the herd
    A dose is given by pouring 1 capful (25ml) of remedy into the water trough, every second day. We do offer a pump attachment that dispenses 25ml an can be used instead of the cap. Our 5 litre jerry cans come with a free dispensing pump.    For other livestock you can administer a dose (2 sprays) to the nose, on their food or in their water trough. To dose on food, use half a capful per dose, 1-2 times a day.   This remedy can be continued long term.
    Doses per container 

    1 litre = 40 doses which provides 80 days of trough treatment (Dosing every second day). This is based on water troughs up to 500 litre capacity.

    Not as I had hoped.

    Maybe it was too little too late. I thought it was working and then it wasn’t. I intend to keep trying. We have had extreme. Cold followed by high temperatures. Maybe that had an adverse effect.

    Thanks for your review. There are a few things that can affect the remedy.
    Has it been kept somewhere cool and out of direct sunlight? Did you dose the trough daily during the high temperatures? Are you using any essential oils like neem, citronella etc.. or Zinc? We will see what we can do to help 😊

    It works!!

    My milking cows and other cattle had lice this season (hadn't had it for years) put 2 doses into drinking troughs... no more lice. It really works and NO chemicals as "other cattle" are for eating. Win win.

    Does what it says on the label. Good to not have our big beef heifer not continually seeking out a tree to rub on.

    Adding 25mls (1oz) of remedy from our Jerry Can to a 500L (100-gallon) water trough every second day is enough to dose all of the animals that drink from that trough. With homeopathic remedies, the dilution ratio doesn’t have to be exact. The active ingredients disperse through the trough using the hydrogen particles in the water, so each animal gets a fresh dose every time they take a drink. Regardless of how much – or little – water is in the trough, the potency of the remedy will be the same. Adding our remedies to a water trough means a new dose is administered every time an animal takes a drink. The trough doesn't need to be emptied and refilled between doses as the sunlight destroys any residues after three days.
