Separation Anxiety – Equine is a natural horse supplement that helps to calm horses who get anxious when left alone or left behind – even for a short time.
This natural remedy for horses calms without sedating.
Safe, non-toxic & 100% natural.
Equestrian Competition & Racing safe (not swab-able).
Note: The shape of the jerry cans may vary. Rest assured, the ordered volume is the exact same.
When To Dose
Separation Anxiety – Equine is professionally formulated to soothe an anxiety response that starts when other horses are being tacked up or prepared for travel. Start dosing as soon as the anxious horse realises they will be separated or left alone, then give a second dose just before separation happens. The effect of this remedy is cumulative, so you are likely to see improved results over 3-5 days.
How To Dose
When first using this remedy, dose twice a day for 7 days, then stop dosing and observe behaviour for the next 7 days. If symptoms are still present, repeat the 7-day dosing regimen. Once behaviour has improved, only dose on days when separation will occur. If behaviour is triggered again, start another 7-day dosing regimen.
For horses that suffer from separation anxiety at shows dose twice a day for 5 days leading into the show and continue twice daily dosing whilst at the show. If they are competing regularly contact us for a dosing program to suit them.
Dose: 2 pumps into the mouth or onto a treat that wont absorb it, like carrot or apple twice a day for 7 days. For more nervous horses, pump a dose onto your finger and dab onto the horse’s tongue, gum or lips.
90 ml Pump Bottle = 230 doses (2 pumps per dose).
* This remedy is not suitable for adding to the water trough.
Bottles are food grade aluminium with a hygienic serum pump lid and over cap. Great for dosing on the go.

My Pinto was beside himself with anxiety after losing his friend of 17 years when my beloved horse of 21 years passed away at age 28. I did all the right things and let the younger one smell him and see he was gone for a good hour before burial but the burial process really upset him. He spent hours by the grave and called out for him constantly. I picked this up the next day and got back that afternoon around 1pm for the first dose. Within 60 minutes he was not calling out and calmer.
When our grazer would take away her horse my horse would pace the fence line until she foamed and dripped with sweat, and sometimes she would jump a fence.
I was nervous about how this would work because our grazer was taking her horse away for 10 weeks and Gracie would be alone for a week before we were able to get a friend for her. I was surprised when she happily came over to eat it off a carrot or even lick it out of my hand. and when her paddock mate left, she only watched before resuming to graze.
Such a relief! Thank you, Hippo Health!!
Hi
This does not appear to work for our pony even using extra doses
Do you have a suggestion or do you have another option for us to try
We do like many of your other products and we have had great success with them
Sorry to hear that the separation anxiety hasn't helped. Can you please let us know how you have been dosing (method, amount, frequency), if the remedy has been stored somewhere cool and out of direct sunlight. If you are using any essential oils or zinc and what symptoms the pony has and we will see what we can do to help 😊🦛
I have been using this remedy for my mare who has separation anxiety, it has made a difference in being able to manage her and calm her. I am still working on her emotional regulation and expanding her comfort zone gradually, this remedy is a good aid to help while doing that work.
Like all Hippo Health products, this product comes with a money back guarantee for anyone not pleased with the results.
This remedy won’t cause any adverse effects, but the ingredients will only activate when they come into contact with a mucous membrane such as the tongue, gums or lips.
