    When to Dose

Horses experiencing an infestation of chorioptic mites tend to stamp and bite at their legs or rub their legs against things. This rubbing can result in in broken skin which, in severe cases, can cause scarring that affects movement of the pastern joints.  Some breeds of horse, such as Clydesdales, are more prone to Feather Mites than others.

    How To Dose

This product is only available in jerry cans for dosing via the water trough. This natural remedy takes 7-10 days to start having a repellent effect on Feather Mites.

    Jerry Can Dosing

Water Trough – add 25mls – one capful or one pump - to the water trough every second day until symptoms ease, then reduce to dosing twice a week for maintenance. Dose volume is calculated for a 500-litre water trough and can provide coverage for multiple animals.

1 litre = 80 days continuous cover via water troughs (dosing every second day) or 40 days dosing on feed (twice daily).

Our robust jerry cans are made from food grade plastic.
