ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

When to Dose

Changes to grasses across the seasons can affect blood protein levels in some horses, resulting in swelling in places where fluid might pool due to the effects of gravity – a swollen sheath or under belly are common presentations. This type of swelling is often present in acute cases of photosensitivity.

How To Dose

Dose via the water trough or straight onto a treat, feed or into the mouth using our 90ml pump bottle. Most horses enjoy the sweet taste, but if your mare is nervous about being dosed, put the dose on your finger and dab it onto their lips or gums. The active ingredients start working as soon as the remedy contacts a mucous membrane.

90ml Pump Bottle

Give 2 pumps onto the tongue, gums or lips, or on a piece of food twice daily, reducing doses on improvement.

90 ml Pump Bottle = 230 doses (2 pumps per dose)

Bottles are food grade aluminium with a hygienic serum pump lid and over cap. Great for dosing on the go.

Jerry Can Dosing

Water trough - add 25mls - one capful or 1 Jerry Can pump - of remedy into the water trough every second day. Dose volume is calculated for a 500-litre water trough.

Feed – add 12mls - ½ capful (12ml) or ½ pump - on to feed twice daily.

Dose until symptoms ease, then reduce to dosing once a week for maintenance.

Our robust jerry cans are made from food grade plastic.
