    When To Dose

Ryegrass Staggers Acute supports horses immune system response to endophyte toxins found  on rye grass at certain times of year.  This remedy is used if animals exhibit uneasiness or spookiness and/or staggering and trembling. Ryegrass Staggers Acute is for short term use, dosed either on feed or into the water trough. This remedy should be used in conjunction with grazing management during risk periods.

    How To Dose

Most horses love the sweet taste so can be dosed straight from the pump bottle. For more nervous horses, pump a dose onto your finger and dab onto the horse’s tongue, gum, or lips, or add a dose to a treat or piece of food. This remedy is available in jerry cans for adding to feed or a water trough.

    90ml Pump Bottle

Give 2 pumps onto the tongue, gums or lips, or on a piece of food up to 4 times over a couple of hours as a loading dose, then reduce to 3-4 times a day, reducing doses on improvement.

90 ml Pump Bottle = 230 doses (2 pumps per dose).

Bottles are food grade aluminium with a hygienic serum pump lid and over cap. Great for dosing on the go.

    Jerry Cans

Water Trough – add 25mls - one capful or 1 Jerry Can pump - of remedy into the water trough every second day. Reduce to dosing once a week on improvement and stop dosing when symptom free. Dose volume is calculated for a 500-litre water trough.

Feed – add 12mls - ½ capful or ½ a Jerry Can pump (12ml) - on to feed twice daily. Reduce dosing on improvement.

1 litre = 80 days continuous cover via water troughs (dosing every second day) or 40 days dosing on feed (twice daily).

Our robust jerry cans are made from food grade plastic.
